Technology for In-Depth Dental Care

At Apex Dental, our technology helps us provide you with informed treatment planning and effective treatments, keeps your dental appointments to run smoothly.

Because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan.

Our goal is to make sure that you receive complete dental care and fully understand your oral health and treatment options. We use dental technology to accomplish this.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors rather than traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that would not be visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. These X-rays are often used in treatment planning for dental implants or tooth extractions.

Oral Cancer Screening Device

The VELscope® is an oral cancer screening device that helps your dentist identify abnormalities and diseases in the mouth, such as cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions. Fluorescence visualization technology can be used in about two minutes during routine exams.

Soft-Tissue Lasers

In dentistry, lasers (focused light beams) can be used in various soft tissue procedures. They allow our dentists to perform dental procedures with less pain and fewer medical interventions. At Apex Dental, our dentists use lasers to remove overgrown or decayed tissue and reshape the gums.
